ParView GPS Yardage System The Peninsula Golf Resort will be providing all of its guests with the "ParView" GPS Yardage System starting in March of 2004. Using GPS satellite technology, the ParView System provides golfers with a graphic hole and green overview as they approach each hole. It displays exact distances to the pin, fairway hazards, landmarks, an elapsed timer to monitor pace-of-play, and pro tips on how to best play each hole. It will also tell you how far you hit your tee shot, for those that need to know, and how far out, should there be a group in the fairway, so you don't need to worry about hitting into them or waiting longer than you should. Players can order their food from the 9th and 18th tee, reducing delays at the turn, be alerted to incoming weather warnings, and communicate with the golf shop in case of emergency. Another great feature is the electronic scoring feature enhanced with "Scorecast" technology. This allows players to enter their scores electronically and automatically adds the scores for each hole, and displays the current scoring total for all holes played. It also displays a leaderboard and can track skins for the group. Perfect for group outings of all sizes both organized and casual.
