Hole #17 is a 501 yd. Par 5 from the blue tees.
Welcome to the second hardest hole in Kentucky! This hole doglegs left but you will need to favor the right side.
The ball will kick left, and there is a high rough and a deep gully over there.
Aim at the lone tree in the distance. The fairway is pretty wide. You'll need a three wood for the second.
It too needs to stay to the right side. There is a steep drop from the left side all the way to the green
and beyond. That area is lined with bunkers and is no place for a golfer in search of par.
If you have to go down there you might as well enjoy the nice steps that have been thoughtfully provided.
Don't think too much about your pitch 30 feet straight up from the sand. It is just a game.
Your approach from the fairway should be relatively uneventful if you keep it a little short.
Don't go for a pin located near the back of this green because it too slopes toward the trouble below.
