Hole # 2 is a 538 yd. Par 5 from the blue tees.
Pete Dye designed this hole to teach us about the better part of valor.
There is really no desirable place to put a long drive. Trees line the left side about 220 yards off the tee.
If you hit it farther than that to the left, it will roll down a steep bank into a lake.
Miss it off the tee to the right and you will land in one of two sand bunkers or in high rough.
Your second shot calls for an accurate 3 or 5 wood to a plateau that leaves you roughly 150 yards to the green.
There is sand on the right and a steep slope on the left of the green. Get it up on there but not too hot!
You can easily back the ball of this two tiered green.
The same result can be had behind the green where the ball feeds into a collection area.
Getting up and down from there is unlikely.
